Seasons Greetings to you from the Goodson Family !

For the last ten years we have designed and made cards for you: our family and friends, featuring firstly our children and in later years an assortment of guinea pigs.

Every year, when Autumn stumbles into Winter, we get to hear how incredibly excited you all are wondering what this year’s card will entail, and every year we hope we manage to produce a card that delights and lives up to the weight of your expectations.

To some the Goodson Family Christmas Card has come to represent the perfect counterpoint to the increasingly commercial festive experience we have foisted upon us year after year, and a significant proportion of you don't believe the festive period has begun until you have at least glanced at our annual offering. In short we know this means a lot to you, and we don't like to let you down.

However, this year, due to other more ridiculous time commitments and follys we have become embroiled in, we have failed you. Yes, we, the Goodson Family Xmas Card committee have been unable to complete this years card in time to accompany your Yuletide celebrations and for this we are extremely apologetic, we appreciate that Christmas can no longer be the same without it, possibly ever again: but wait, wait, all is not lost:

We have sent out a kit to regular recipients of the card, and even as I resize guinea pig images, I am sure this loyal band of Xmas card followers have received our emergency Goodson Christmas Card Craft kits based on a perfectly pleasant generic Christmas card, bought from a shop and an assortment of photographs of our children and a selection of our pets, along with various accoutrements, so they can save Xmas and embellish the generic card to their own liking!

Great, but what if you are just a regular casual consumer of the online version of the card, how can you help ? Well bearing in mind the lack of time thing, we've put together a very rudimentary online drag and drop version of the kit, close this message and you will be able to curate your very own online Goodson Family Xmas Card, without all that sticky glue and glitter, or maybe you'll just download the images from here and go crazy with Photoshop and take the card to new levels of digital artistry. There are no rules

If you need inspiration or are new to the Goodson Family Christmas Card experience - then check out the ghosts of xmas cards past in the menu above - to see what you could have received if you’d only taken the trouble to know us longer.

Finally we’d like to see what you have produced, please screenshot your finished Goodson Family Christmas Card & email to xmascard@snowmoon.co.uk and we may feature your work in our gallery for 2013. There may also be a prize for the best one/s.

So we're sorry to have slightly let you down this year, but thank you and do have a wonderful and very Merry Christmas.....
